Description

An export promotion banking expert is needed for capacity building in:

- the Capital Markets Development Agency
- Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT)

The aim of the project is to enhance capacity in MIFT by providing a professional expert, to help institutions build capability.

You will be expected to:

- review current regulation, practises and institutional arrangements
- review the effects of COVID-19 on the banking sector
- support building of a new unit/function in MIFT to support proper functioning of the state
- attend shareholder meetings
- establish a transparent board nomination process
- introduce a renumeration policy
- implement a proper process for setting objectives/ financial targets
- implement reporting systems to monitor and audit
- develop a disclosure policy

This is a full time role and will be based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Relocation costs are not covered.

You are now invited to submit a technical proposal and a financial proposal. The content will start in October to November 2020 and will last 12 months.

You should have a banking and corporate governance background with a track record of developing and implementing corporate governance.

An understanding of English and Russian is an advantage.
