Request for Tender
Description: To procure a Business Process Management (BPM) toolset for staff to optimise core Network & Infrastructure processes & equipment maintenance through process automation, understanding process bottlenecks, reducing human error, miscommunication and focussing staff on the requirements of their roles.
BPM toolset to include the following functions:
- Process Design & Modelling Tool;
- Integrated development environment to implement BPM workflows & mobile apps from BPM models;
- Business process engine to choreograph process steps & messaging person-person, system-system and person-system;
- Process monitoring, business analytics to identify process issues, opportunities & trends;
- Adequate security user authorisation and authentication, access control to files & data;
- The first set of BPM workflows; for PTA infrastructure control and maintenance staff to quickly and accurately update, raise and complete equipment breakdown work orders;
- Mobile apps (iOS & Android) related to the first BPM initiative, so that staff can raise, review, update & complete work orders on mobile devices;
- The BPMS will integrate with a number of enterprise systems including SCADA (Citect, Phoenix Train Control, MacroView), ABB Ellipse ERP, Ms Exchange Server, Objective ECM;
- Establish best practice of toolset usage & training for business domain experts and non-IT staff;
- Establish best practice & training of IT support roles for new toolset;
- Provide BPMS training for Business domain experts (10), business users (control officers, maintenance staff - 150 - theatrette setting) & IT architectural, development & support staff (25); and
- Maintenance Support for BPM Toolset.
