Description

The EWMG is the owner of the hockey park built in 2005, consisting of a three-storey office, administration and changing room building, a hockey field with a grandstand and a secondary pitch together with the associated outdoor facilities. The aim of further qualification is now to develop the hockey stadium, which was the venue for the 2016 World Hockey Championships, into a national training centre for hockey. The facility is to be used primarily by the national teams of the DHB, but also by the regional associations, the DHB training commission (DHB trainer training) or the sports promotion group of the German Armed Forces. The new building is planned on the street "Am Hockeypark", diagonally opposite the main entrance of the existing complex, on an area of approx. 3,200 m2. 60 overnight rooms are planned for the boarding house, some of which are barrier-free and some can be combined into group apartments. On the ground floor there are areas for the reception area, foyer with back office areas, dining room with kitchen area as well as seminar and meeting rooms. In the basement, which is lit up to room height on one side via an upstream inner courtyard, rooms for fitness and strength training, a gymnastics room and areas for physiotherapeutic treatment are planned in accordance with the DHB's specifications. the overall measure is mainly financed by subsidies from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for sports facilities (possibly with federal shares).In order to prepare the application for funding, which is to be submitted to the Düsseldorf district government in the second quarter of 2020, the planning services of work phase 3 - draft planning with cost calculation - are initially required. an architectural firm is being sought that implements the design concept for the boarding house agreed with the German Hockey Federation on the basis of work phases 3 to 9 of the HOAI.
