Description
The Archaeology Branch of the Ministry of Forests is seeking to replace its core proprietary E-Licensing platform called the Archaeology Permit Tracking System (APTS) with a purpose-built, web-based open-source software platform called Arches (www.archesproject.org) that organizations independently deploy on their own services or cloud computing accounts. The new Arches Application will be used by a variety of interested parties internal and external to government to intake and review over 600 permit applications per year, house related documents, file communications, consult with First Nations, and to oversee the lifecycle of those permit applications rejected or issued under the Heritage Conservation Act (HCA).
