NASA is releasing this solicitation under the second Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships (NextSTEP-2) BAA to seek proposals from industry to facilitate the development and demonstration of a Human Landing System (HLS), delivering humans to the lunar surface no later than 2024.

In addition to developing the HLS, commercial and international partners will be able to leverage new capabilities developed through this initiative for the execution of multiple other missions over the coming decades, including the potential to participate in regularly-recurring hardware and services procurements by NASA.

The primary objective of this Appendix is to enable rapid HLS development and 2024 HLS flight demonstrations.

A virtual Industry Forum will be held for this Appendix that will provide Offerors with an opportunity to listen to a NASA HLS briefing and ask questions about this particular solicitation.
