Description
In the course of a planned flat roof renovation of the aircraft maintenance building Hangar 4, at Munich Airport, Wartungsallee, FMG intends to dismantle or remove the partly dilapidated F90 fire protection cladding of the steel structure of the hangar supporting framework made of cement-bonded calcium silicate fire protection panels of the Thermax brand as a whole as well as the double-layer fall protection nets of the hangar supporting framework stretched underneath. According to the budgeting, the construction measure is to be carried out in spring 2024.The hangar roof of Hangar 4 has a rectangular ground plan and an area of approximately 13,0000 m². The flat roof has an approximate height above ground of 32m.The roof area is divided in the southern area by an approx. 153m long continuous light band. The scope of rehabilitation includes the steel structure of the hall supporting framework mainly in the area of the trusses of the roof supporting structure as well as individual columns and bracing bracings. The roof structure of the hall was made of steel and sheathed accordingly with F90 fire protection cladding. During the construction period, the airline will vacate the hangar so that the work can proceed undisturbed. The surrounding buildings, including the adjacent office annexes, will be in regular operation, in some cases around the clock. There is operational traffic on the roads around the building. The apron borders directly to the south of the hall.
