Description

As part of its mandate to deliver a youth program in Canada, the Department of National Defence (DND) as represented by the Commander National Cadet and Junior Canadian Rangers Support Group (hereafter called “Canada”) has a requirement and the authority to deliver the Power Pilot Training Course (PPTC) to selected Royal Canadian Air Cadets (hereafter called "Cadets").
Funded by Canada and delivered by contracted Flight Training Units across Canada, this program provides up to 175 selected Air Cadets with the opportunity to earn a Transport Canada Private Pilot Licence – Aeroplane (PPL-A). This course consists of ground school instruction and flight training to Transport Canada standards, in accordance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs). This training must be delivered within an intensive, seven (7) week period during the summer to accommodate the Cadets’ school obligations
