Description

Added: Jun 04, 2019 2:25 pm

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award two modifications to Contract N00174-15-D-0011 for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) units. This synopsis covers both modifications: the first consisting of approximately four LRIP systems and the second consisting of approximately 25 systems. Both modifications will also include spare parts to support the LRIP systems. In addition, the first modification will include depot repair hours, engineering support hours, and provision items ordered to support the ongoing Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System (AEODRS) Increment One program. The estimated period of performance of these contract actions is October 2019 through September 2024.

Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), the Government intends to award these contract modifications on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGS) in Herndon, Virginia. NGS is currently producing the AEODRS Increment One Block One under NAVSEA Contract N00174-15-D-0011. Therefore, it is the only firm with the requisite expertise, experience, and knowledge capable of satisfying the Governments requirements within the requisite schedule. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact NGS directly.

The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
