Procuring these Kits will provide a realistic and seamless integration of two devices that will directly impact patient care of the veterans by providing realistic, Lifesaving training techniques to better care for Veterans. This device will increase the capabilities in the current courses taught at the NSC such as: Fundamentals of Critical Care in Nursing, Trauma Nurse Course, and Out of Operating Room Airway Management. This Lung Adapter device and LLEAP software Plugin will allow for actual physiological responses of the Laerdal 3G HFTM and realistic control of Ventilators and their responses to the patients, this setting will create a realistic environment for the clinicians to learn. Clinicians will be able to better handle a variety of clinical situations while taking care of our veterans. The trainer adapter will allow the two devices to work simultaneously and provide real time physiological changes with both devices for a truer and accurate response by the Ventilator trainer and the 3G HFTM. The ALS 5000 Ventilator training allowing learners to have better response in managing emergency and long-term care of trauma and critical care patients/Veterans.
