Description

The County of Lambton invites the submission of a Proposal from a Supportive Housing Agency to form a partnership with the County of Lambton.  This partnership will allow for pre-development work to proceed on a supportive housing project, including selection of location(s), design of the project, obtaining necessary planning approvals and securing funding.  The target development size will be between 150 and 300 supportive housing units and could include one location or multiple locations. After the pre-development work, pending project approval and funding, the partnership could continue through the construction and eventual operation of the supportive housing project(s). It is hoped that funding needed for the capital costs of a project(s) could be secured from all levels of government. The County will review all responses received and will determine a short list of "preferred responses" that it wishes to investigate further. Short listed proponents may be invited to a proponent meeting where they will be provided an opportunity to further elaborate on their agency and why the County should partner with them. After a review of submissions received the County may request more details prior to finalizing its short list.Once the partnership is formed and the pre-development work is completed, County Council approval will be sought for the development of the supportive housing project.  See Proposal Document for full details
