Description
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for New Fort Erie Elevated Tank, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). In 2016, Niagara Region updated their master servicing plan (MSP) which identified improvements to the drinking water system including the construction of a new 9.0 ML elevated tank (ET) in central Fort Erie. The new Fort Erie ET will be located at 1886 Pettit Road within the Town of Fort Erie and will be built on a vacant parcel of land, owned by The Region. The new Fort Erie ET will service the Fort Erie Water Distribution System located in the south-east of Niagara Region. This project will consist of the construction of a composite elevated water storage tank on Pettit Road within the Town of Fort Erie, Ontario. The works include the design and construction of a 9,000 m3 composite elevated water storage tank with a reinforced concrete pedestal, and welded steel storage cell with protective coatings. The elevated tank will include process piping and valving, chemical dosing and electrical systems including SCADA connectivity. The works also include site preparation, yard piping and valving including watermain installations on site and at Pettit Road, asphalt access road, storm and sanitary sewers and landscaping.
