SUMMARY OF CALL FOR TENDERS
The Centre de services scolaires Marie-Victorin, owner, is requesting tenders for the schoolyard rehabilitation work - phase 2 (drainage, paving, concrete edging, sports equipment, marking, planting and turfing) at the École de la Mosaïque located at 6905 Bd Maricourt, Saint-Hubert (Québec), J3Y 1 2. A virtual tour of the site is planned.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, which must be for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, in the form of a certified cheque, draft, irrevocable letter of guarantee or surety bond. The bid bond must be issued by a Financial Institution that is an insurer holding a license issued in accordance with the Insurance Act (R.S.Q., c.A-32) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company licensed under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies (R.S.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (R.S.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c.46).
When bid security is in the form of a bond, it must be accompanied by a letter of undertaking issued by the issuer of the bond stipulating that a performance bond and a surety bond for pledges, materials and services will be granted to the successful bidder.
When guarantees are in the form of bonds, the amount of each bond corresponds to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price.
When security is in the form of a certified cheque or draft, the bid security must be issued in favour of the Centre de services scolaires. This bid guarantee may be exchanged no later than fifteen (15) days after the letter of award is sent for a performance bond and a surety bond for pledges, materials and services, the amount of each of which corresponds to fifty percent (50%) of the contract price.
The Centre de services scolaire Marie-Victorin does not undertake to accept any of the tenders received.
