Our client in the medical device sector was considering relocating their multi-billion global trading, intellectual property and R&D hub to one of several countries, including the UK. We helped analyse the different options and compare the restructuring required. One legal issue made the UK uncompetitive as a jurisdiction for unintended reasons. We worked with the UK government to build and present the case for a law change. Once made, the group chose the UK for its new hub.
