As well as providing initial advice around corporate structures and governance, we also looked to include Spire in events we were running and to generally provide a “sounding board” as Spire integrated itself into the business community.
We assisted with matters such as compliance with UK Companies House requirements, incl. the new PSC regime and many of the “Business as Usual” requirements of a trading operation such as employment and HR contracts and policies and key issues such as IP protection.
As with many overseas entities, a key aspect is explaining and guiding the business through legal and regulatory matters that are often out of sync with their home jurisdiction - but it is important to place those matters in the right commercial context for the client so such matters are understood and dealt with but are not seen as material impediment to business.
