An established US retailer wanted to expand to the UK.
Menzies provided an initial consultation, where we discussed the owners goals (which included wholesale and e-commerce)and how best to structure their business to achieve them.
After further tax (and transfer pricing) considerations a new UK company was formed, VAT and duty support was an essential requirement. The company was due to take on new UK employees, so our employment solutions team provided further guidance (including setting up an employee handbook and contracts). Part of this process also involved supporting the company with setting up a new bank account, insurance considerations and possible property/warehouse requirements. The business is now established in the UK and benefits from on-going tax, payroll, book-keeping and compliance support.
