Description

The Albtal-Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH (AVG) is building a new building with office and service space and a small-scale retail trade with a gross floor area of approx. 36,470 sqm (including underground car park) on its own premises on Durlacher Allee in Karlsruhe (Germany), in the "Oststadt" district of Karlsruhe. It borders Gerwigstrasse to the north, EnBW headquarters to the east, Durlacher Allee to the south and Tullastraße to the west. There are other buildings on the site which are used by the client himself and which will be partly rebuilt. The development of the construction site will take place via Durlacher Allee and Tullastraße. The construction site is located within the operating area of the transport company. There is always an area to be kept in use from the tracks to the east and west: the supply and exhaust air pipes are insulated to reduce heat losses, including the installation parts. According to VDI 3803, the exhaust air pipes must also be insulated if they are routed via a heat recovery system. The piping systems of the heating installation are insulated to reduce heat losses, including the fittings. The insulation layer thickness is in accordance with the Energy Saving Ordinance. The piping systems of the drinking and service water installation as well as the internal rainwater waste water installation are insulated to reduce heat losses and to prevent condensation and noise emissions, including the fittings.The insulation layer thicknesses depend on the technically necessary and available insulation layer thicknesses. Quantity and scope of the order: approx. 12,500 m2 of thermal insulation on ventilation ducts made of mineral wool, approx. 14,000 m of pipe insulation made of mineral wool DN10 to DN200, approx. 8,500 m of pipe insulation made of foam glass shells DN10 to DN250.
