Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)&(B), the Department of Commerce (DOC)/Enterprise Services intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Informa Media for access to their Ward’s Automotive database at the estimated price of $16K. This procurement will provide the Ward’s Automotive Database to the DOC, International Trade Administration (ITA), Office of Transportation and Machinery so that users can retrieve domestic and foreign automotive sales and production long range historical data. The database is a query-driven, monthly data updates in searchable, sortable, and reportable downloads, using any combination of the available attributes for any time period. The Ward’s Automotive Database provides monthly data updates in using any combination of the available attributes for historical and current figures for North America which includes United States, Canada, and Mexico and for 51 international markets. ITA plans to continue to use of this database for the production comprehensive automotive data, expert automotive data analysis and insight. ITA prefers Ward’s Automotive database that provides query driven automotive data which includes North American and International Markets and 24/7 Global Breaking News Updates, therefore, would like to procure this proprietary database from Informa Media which also contains ITA’s historical data.
The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort.
