Description

The Waitematā District Health Board (DHB) provides forensic mental health services to residents of the Northern Region, and forensic intellectual disability services for those north of Taupo, on behalf of the regional DHBs, at the Mason Clinic in Point Chevalier, Auckland.
The DHB has recently acquired 2.8ha of land adjacent to the existing Mason Clinic campus in Point Chevalier, Auckland. This land better enables the redevelopment of the Mason Clinic, and the tranche 1 construction will occur on this new land.
The first phase of Tranche 1 is to develop:
• a one 30-bed inpatient building, E Tu Wairua Hinengaro (Quality of Mind) Building, containing two 15-bed units, in a multi-storey build;
• a temporary secure building entry and temporary internal road extension;
• a temporary internal road extension will be constructed, linking the existing internal road to the western side of the new building; and
• and a small amount of shared activity and support spaces.
We are looking for Consultants who have the relevant experience to deliver the E Tu Wairua Hinengaro Building from Concept Design through to Project completion cost effectively and within agreed time frames. The Design Team will be comprised of the following professional services, with which the Non-Design and Supplementary Consultants must liaise and incorporate information as required.
a. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a Proposal for the Design Consultant Services – Façade Engineering for the E Tu Wairua Hinengaro (Quality of Mind) Building – Concept Design to Project Completion contract opportunity.
b. The RFP is a single stage procurement process and Waitematā DHB expects to be able to identify a successful respondent at the conclusion of this process
