Description
The helicopters should be designed to carry out:
- surface/ exclusive economic zone (EEZ) surveillance and patrol
- limited anti surface warfare operations
- secondary roles at sea (for example anti-smuggling, anti-piracy operations)
- maritime search and rescue
- casualty evacuation
- winch and cargo operation
- limited air transportation
To bid you should have:
- an EASA/ FAA or equivalent international approval for production of helicopters
- a minimum 15 years of helicopter production experience
- a minimum 250 helicopter production experience and at least 100 helicopter export experience
- helicopters that are in use by at least 2 military/ maritime organisations
- helicopters in use with at least 10 organisations including contact address
- be able to provide a list of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) support/servicing centre and service centre authorised by OEM with offered quotation
The helicopters should have:
- an airframe of light alloy and composite construction, capable of operating in maritime environment
- the airframe should be firm enough to withstand environmental foreign object debris and natural calamity
- a crashworthy fuselage in composite or suitable material
- an external painting in “Grey” with BN markings compatible in corrosive marine environment
- an airframe capable of with standing/surviving vertical crash impact
- a sustainable limit should be mentioned with your bid
- a service life of a minimum 25 years
- 2 jettison able pilot doors left hand (LH) and right hand (RH)
- 2 in-flight operable passenger doors/ sliding (LH and RH)
- a removable fairing and cowlings, for complete accessibility to the controls and drive components
- landing gear compatible with ship operations and you mention the maximum impact absorbing capacity of helicopter during emergency landing at max take-off weight
- a structural inspection cycle
it should also be corrosion resistance in a maritime environment.
