Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management and Operating Contractor of the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) for the Department of Energy (DOE), releases this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) where applicants are invited to submit a detailed cost, schedule, and intermediate milestones response that demonstrates they can meet the requirements for making uranium oxycarbide (UCO) tri-structural isotropic (TRISO) fuel to support Program Pele and NASA missions. The base fuel properties and characteristics of the fuel design shall be bounded by fuel qualification program commonly known as the Advanced Gas Reactor (AGR) program.1 The Uranium-235 enrichment level shall be ≤19.8 wt%.
