Description

The services being sought are to supply, install and make an IFMIS operational. The ministry has applied for inter-American development bank funding to purchase the services.

The IFMIS is expected to cover the following:

- budget preparation and approval
- budget execution and fiscal reporting
- fiscal accounting and reporting with management dashboards
- cash management and bank reconciliation
- purchasing
- cashiering
- payment processing
- asset management
- web portal

The supply of the IFMIS will involve:

- the implementation of a new budget classification system based on government finance statistics methods
- the electronic transfer of data
- movement from a largely cash-based accounting system to a modified-cash system
- the future introduction of performance informed budgeting and accrual accounting
