- has 18 schools, 2 public teaching units, a direct affiliated hospital and state-owned civilian-run independent college
- offers 71 undergraduate majors (including 5 national level characteristic majors), in 10 disciplines
- is a national standard university for running innovation and entrepreneurship training programmes
- currently has over 210,000 full-time students including over 17,000 undergraduates, 2,700 candidates of doctoral and master degree and 1,400 overseas students
- has around 2,200 teaching and administrative staff, over 50% full-time teachers hold high academic tiles and doctoral degrees
- are expecting to admit 60 students every year
