Germany - Translation services

Description

The Contractor shall provide the following services:a) Translation service:- Translation of DEval products from German into British English.- The translation shall be complete and precise and, in addition to the statements of the text, shall also competently translate the technical terminology as well as the style of the text into British English.- Linguistic stylistic proofreading- New terms agreed with DEval should be provided to the client in an Excel spreadsheet as a list upon submission of the translation, so that they can be included in the institute's own overview.b) File formats:- The texts will be provided to the contractor as Word documents (Word format ".docx"); presentations, graphics or business equipment products will be provided as editable file formats (Power Point or Excel in Microsoft Office 2016 version)-. The translation of the text, graphics and illustrations will be provided back to the client in the identical file format as originally sent.c) Process:- The translation will include a comment loop with review, clarification and incorporation of comments from the DEval by the contractor in change mode. If necessary, the commenting loop can also be performed separately for individual parts of the text (e.g., it has proven useful to comment on a part of the text early in the translation process in order to clarify basic terminological and stylistic issues).- This is followed by an acceptance loop in which the client reviews and, if necessary, comments on the implementation of the comments, and the text is finalized by the contractor on the basis of the final comments as part of the final proofreading process.- The contractor delivers the text to the client in the final proofreading mode. The description of the service, its scope and the requirements for the services can be found in the service description in the tender documents.The six highest rated bidders* form the DEval translator pool. The translation of the respective texts will be awarded in the form of an individual contract in accordance with the rotation principle explained in the specifications.
