Description
The power plant consists of a machine house with 2 machine groups and a weir with 4 weir openings and an auxiliary weir with 4 weir openings It is planned to replace the existing 50 kV indoor switchgear of the Wildegg-Brugg power plant (KWWB) with a new 6-field gas-insulated 110 kV switchgear. With the voltage changeover, the two 50/8 kV generator transformers (built in 1970) owned by KWWB Villnachern AG will have to be replaced by 110/8 kV units and the partially still air-insulated rail sections of the existing 8 kV generator outgoing line will have to be replaced by insulated Duresca rail sections.
