Description

As part of its rail infrastructure maintenance mission, the Lyon Regional Engineering Cluster must carry out precision topographical monitoring operations for the surveillance of engineering structures (rail bridges, road bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, etc.) or earth structures (embankments, cuttings, slopes, etc.) located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Occitania, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and New-Aquitaine regions. These monitoring operations, as well as geodetic and metrological monitoring, are used to determine any disorders (deformations) of a structure with a slow-growing pathology on a one-off basis (annual, half-yearly, monthly or even weekly). These monitoring operations enable the PRI of Lyon to determine the maintenance programmes to be carried out on the structures. In this respect, the quality of the measurements carried out and the results provided by the service providers are of prime importance.
