Description
The German Aerospace Center (DLR e.V.) operates the research airplane ISTAR. A modified Dassault Falcon2000LX (Variant of Falcon2000EX EASy II) is the basis for the airplane. DLR pilots have to be trained on the Falcon2000EX EASy II type to be leagally eglible to fly the ISTAR platform. DLR operates the airplane in accordance with EASA.Airops.SPO and EASA Part 21. Part SPO and Part 21 require DLR to conduct its own training and checking. Flight Test Instructors are required and on DLR staff.
