The client plans to convert a market hall building at Cottbuser Straße 29 E in 03149 Forst into an archive building as the new location for the Forst (Lausitz) municipal archive. For the construction of this archive building, the use of rolling shelving systems is planned. The room area planned for this purpose is 458.40 m² (room height approx. 2.99 m). It is assumed that both the intermediate and final archives will be located in one room. In addition, there will be the creation of storage facilities for oversize formats as well as the construction of plan cabinets. The layout of the room for the rolling shelving system to be planned as well as the fixed shelving (storage of oversized formats and plan cabinets) can be seen in the attached floor plan (Appendix 1).The rolling shelving system will be installed at ground level, there are no stairs and transport to the installation site can be carried out at ground level and without barriers. The following requirements are placed on the furnishings intended for storage: Materials shall be chemically inert, non-flammable, non-dust-binding or dust-segregating, and shall not release harmful substances (e.g., gases). For all shelving units, the shelves shall be removable and relocatable.The distance between the archives and the outer wall shall be at least 200 mm and between the floor and the archives at least 150 mm. The shelves must be provided with an approx. 30 mm high fold and triple folded inwards. The files are stored in archive boxes measuring 39 x 28 x 11 cm, each packed with two boxes on top of each other. Injury-free lifting out and repositioning must be ensured.
