The steady growth of the city of Berlin and the increasing number of users of the environmental transport system pose a great challenge to the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), AöR. In order to continue to meet the requirements of the growing city in the future and to be able to satisfy the increasing needs of local public transport, the state of Berlin has decided to expand the streetcar network. The project "New streetcar line Pankow Pasedagplatz" is part of the program of measures, which is anchored in the red-green-red coalition agreement of the year 2021.BVG was commissioned by the Senate Department for the Environment, Mobility, Consumer and Climate Protection (SenUMVK) of the State of Berlin to continue the planning for this streetcar line on the basis of the feasibility study with route investigation and economic feasibility calculation completed in 2019. The services have already been provided on behalf of SenUMVK and are available.The preferred route envisages an extension of the existing line from the existing Pasedagplatz stop via Rennbahnstraße - Romain-Rolland-Straße - Fischerstraße - Pankow- Heinersdorf S-Bahn station - "Pankower Tor" development area and joins the existing network at the Berliner Straße/Granitzstraße junction.The approx. 5.1 km long line is to be designed - as far as spatially possible - as a special, greened railroad structure. The new line passes under the Prenzlauer Promenade to the south of the Pankow-Heinersdorf S-Bahn station and then crosses the new "Pankower Tor" development area.The aim of the measure is to increase the attractiveness of public transport by closing the gap in the streetcar network in the Pankow district. Against the background of the high demands on the timely, qualitative and economic planning implementation, BVG commissions with this tender on the basis of the PBefG a planner with the services- of the planning services according to HOAI § 47, traffic facility planning of the service phases 2 to 7 incl. the special services as well as- a study for the examination of measures for the capacity increase in the Berliner Straße.
