Description
During 2020, it is proposed to launch a new programme called the “Sustainable Development Business Development Programme” as part of the closing activities of Catalyst.
The “Sustainable Development Business Development Programme” is aimed at owner managers and key staff of SME’s based in County Carlow & Tipperary. The programme will be launched in early March 2020 with the initial training taking place late March 2020. Focused mentoring will be provided in April 2020 (2 Sessions per company) with a concluding brokerage session being held in early May 2020. Once finalised the programme schedule must be strictly adhered to.
The programme is based initially in broad terms around the UN: Sustainable Development Goals which are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The 17 Goals are all interconnected, and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve them all by 2030. It is understood that Companies that understand the opportunities and challenges presented by the Global goals will gain a real competitive advantage.
