Ville de Gaspé wishes to obtain bids in sealed envelopes to retain services
a contractor for work to install a stormwater control system
for Forest Street.

Any person or company must obtain the tender documents, plans and specifications
and other documents relevant to the project only on the Electronic Appeal System
Offers (SEAO) at www.seao.ca.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security representing ten for
one hundred (10%) of the total amount of the bid including GST and QST amounts
applicable, in the form of a certified cheque made payable to the City of Gaspé, a letter of guarantee
irrevocable or bid bond in the same amount and valid for a period of
period of ninety (90) days following the opening date of bids issued by a
an insurance company licensed as an insurer in Canada or Quebec, by a
financial institution that is an insurer licensed in accordance with the
(R.S.Q., c. A-32) authorizing him to practice surety insurance, a company of
a trust licensed under the Trust Companies and Companies Act
(R.S.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting
financial services cooperatives (R.S.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Act respecting
banks (S.C., 1991, c. 46), otherwise the bid will be automatically rejected. In the event that
the bid security is issued in the form of a bid bond, a letter
commitment relating to the issuance of a performance bond must also be attached
to submission.

Regardless of the shipping method that the bidder chooses to adopt, any bid
must, in order to be validly received, be in the hands of the Clerk of the Town of Gaspé
or his official representative, in sealed envelopes, no later than August 21, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., with
the following inscription on the envelope "SUBMISSION - Stormwater Control System
for Forest Street", at the following address, to be publicly opened at the same location on
same day at 10:01 a. m. Any subsequent submission received will be automatically rejected.

Only persons, companies or firms holding a contractor's licence and having their
the principal place of business in Quebec or, where an intergovernmental agreement is applicable,
in a province or territory covered by this agreement, will be eligible to bid.

Only contractors holding, where applicable, the
licence required under the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B-1.1). The entrepreneurs
bidders are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for their
for the content of their submission.

The Town of Gaspé reserves the right to accept neither the lowest nor any of the bids that
will be presented to it and will not incur any liability to the bidders
in respect of alleged losses or costs incurred, of whatever nature, in connection with the
this call for tenders.
