Description
The Institute for Resource Ecology of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf awards a contract for the delivery of an EPR spectrometer including installation, on-site acceptance and training. The spectrometer must be designed for X-band, but with the same system it must be possible to use different bridges to generate different frequency bands (S-band, L-band and Q-band). The offered system must also be able to handle a fast scan mode with field modulated rapid scan technology. In addition, the spectrometer must be able to handle current methods such as ENDOR and optionally be expandable for EPR techniques such as Transient EPR, Pulse EPR, Pulse Endor and Imaging. The system may need to be cooled by an external cooler (outside the laboratory building). Part of the offered system must be a temperature control unit, which enables the measurement of samples at temperatures between 1.8K-300 K. The services to be offered in the offer price include: - spectrometer incl. X-band sample head, variable temperature unit (up to 1.8 K), magnet system 10", - software and suitable computer system for recording and evaluation of the EPR spectra, - if necessary external cooler for dissipating heat generated outside the laboratory building, - free delivery to the point of use, - installation and commissioning.- Acceptance at the installation site (SAT), the following acceptance criteria have to be verified within the scope of acceptance at the installation site:-- -- Sensitivity according to the following standards:--- Weak-pitch international Sensitivity standard (min. 3000 : 1), --- Absolute sensitivity (min. 1 x 10⁹ spins/G), --- Concentration limit Sensitivity (4 x 10¯¹2 mol).-- Demonstration of the resolution of the system in amplitudes and field direction,-- Demonstration of the ENDOR technology,-- Demonstration of the temperature control unit with reaching of 2.5 K (or lower) at the sample location,- On-site training for 3 persons,- 12 months warranty on all components and work performances from acceptance at the installation location,- Complete operating manual in German and/or English.
