Description

The exhibition aims to present issues closely related to the intelligent specialization of the Podkarpacie region, which is aviation. This space will include stands that will address basic issues related to aviation issues, and for advanced participants, more advanced elements of the exhibition will be proposed. Below are listed the issues that will be the basis for the presentation of technology and the relevant laws of physics, aerodynamics, construction, materials science, electronics, chemistry related to the above mentioned topics. The resulting exhibits through their attractive form and interesting design will invite the participant to deepen their knowledge through interaction with the exhibit so that it will be easier to remember the discussed issue. Participants who decide to go through the entire path of knowledge related to this subject and go through the proposed educational sequence, learn about the history of aviation and its development, as well as supplement their knowledge with issues from a selected field of science. The path will start with Greek mythology, where the participants will learn about the myth of the Daedalus and Icarus and will find elements common to airplanes and living nature. In this section you can also refer to modern materials used in aviation as a natural comparison to the materials used to build wings in the myth. This will be a good place to mention the definition of the cruising altitude used in aviation. The next important step in the history of aviation was ballooning and airships. In this section we should mention the first balloon flight, which took place in 1783 (Montoglfier brothers) and Archimedes of Syracuse and his achievements. The method of control and current simulations should also be indicated. The exhibition will be complemented by animations, films depicting the world's largest airship ("Hindenburg") and the feat of Felix Baumgartner. Then the achievements of the era of motorised aircraft will be presented. The first aircraft constructions and the first flight of the Wright brothers in 1903 should be shown here. This part will present fundamental rights in aviation, such as Bernoulli's law or the continuity of the jet, and will supplement the knowledge on aerodynamics and construction of the aircraft, in particular the profile and types of aircraft, the construction of the wing and the type of coverings used. The aircraft propulsion itself should also be presented in this part of the exhibition. From the blades themselves to the type of engines used and their principle of operation. Moving further into the zone, the participants will get acquainted with the elements of airplane collision and the way of piloting them. The differences between the control of gliders, passenger and jet aircraft and helicopters will also be indicated. Additional elements of this zone should be interesting air constructions including those manufactured in the Podkarpacie region, air transport and radiolocation. During the tour of the exhibition, participants should learn about the profiles of, among others, Tadeusz Góry, Żwirko and Wigura, Wacław Nycz. The exhibition will be focused around man and all his senses. For ease of reference, it will be divided into zones:1) The "I can see" zone is an exhibition zone focused on the sense of sight and broadly understood physics which is optics.2) The "I can hear" zone is designed to present issues related to acoustics and hearing sense.3) The "I think" zone is a presentation of the mode of operation and function of the most important organ and at the same time the main organ of the central nervous system - the brain.4) The "I move" zone will present issues related to the department of physics which is mechanics, i.e. science dealing strictly with movement. The exhibition "Nature", similarly to the above, will be divided into areas which directly result from the adopted PCN concept. Biodiversity, flora and fauna of the region, geography and geology - the exhibition will present issues related to the natural environment, the world of plants, animals and inanimate nature. The exhibits aim to show how the animated and inanimate world is diverse and how it can fascinate. Each latitude of the Earth shall be characterised by diversity of life at all levels of its organisation and shall include diversity of, inter alia, species and ecosystems. The exhibition will also include geographical and geological aspects so that the curiosity of the world around us can be discovered in a tangible way. Ecology and environmental protection - the exhibition is aimed at ecological education, increasing the awareness and knowledge of visitors about the need to protect the natural environment. The risks associated with the lack of care for nature and the most typical negative behavior of people interfering with the natural environment will be presented. The exhibits will present methods of taking care of the Earth, possibilities of saving and purifying water, air and soil. The experiments will show ecological aspects both on a global scale and in the local environment. The exhibition will aim to make participants aware of the importance of waste sorting and recycling. Water resources and its use - water is one of the most common substances in the Universe. The zone is going to concentrate on showing in what form and quantity water occurs on Earth, and what are its physical and chemical properties. Water is of great biological importance to humans because it is an essential supplement to the food of all known organisms. As a utility substance it has many uses, of which drinking water is the most desired by man. Ways of using water resources and their characteristics will be presented at the exhibition. Renewable energy sources - the area aims to present issues closely related to renewable energy sources. The zone will feature exhibits that will address basic issues related to energy and sustainable development. The sites will relate to the use of sources such as, but not limited to, wind, water, solar radiation, rainfall, tides, waves and geothermal energy, their advantages and uses for clean energy production. Technologies and relevant laws of physics, construction, materials science, electronics, chemistry related to renewable energy sources will be presented. The exhibits through their attractive form and interesting design will invite the participant to deepen their knowledge through interaction with the exhibit so that it will be easier to remember the discussed issue. The supplementary exhibition will deal with specialist topics related to the main exhibitions. The exhibition was divided into thematic zones.1) "Microbiology". - It is a space dedicated to microbes. In this space we will show the diversity of this world, in which we can find bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, protozoa, etc., as well as the diversity of the world we live in. Despite its invisibility, the world of microorganisms, despite its invisibility, directly affects our planet on a global scale, as well as on the scale of a single person. Few people know that oxygen in the atmosphere appeared due to the activity of cyanobacteria and huge deposits of limestone rocks due to dying marine microorganisms, that more than 2 kg of our body weight are bacteria and 99.9% of all known bacteria are not pathogenic bacteria.2) "Atmosphere". - We owe the conditions for the existence of life on Earth to the atmosphere. It allows, among other things, for the existence of liquid water, a diverse life on Earth, providing the substances necessary to sustain it and protect it from ultraviolet radiation. Exhibits related to the atmosphere are to present its structure and functions, its importance for life on Earth and the desirable and undesirable phenomena occurring in different layers of the atmosphere.3) "Water" - The exhibition aims at presenting the natural water circulation in nature, the so-called hydrological cycle and water resources not involved in circulation. The hydrological cycle includes processes taking place in the atmosphere as well as in the biosphere and lithosphere. It is not only the large circuit, i.e. one connected with global processes, and the small circuit, connected with local water circulation that are important here.4) "Space and astronomy". - The exhibition should be an attractive supplement to the "Aviation" exhibition. At present, both industries are very much intertwining, using many solutions together. It is difficult to imagine safe air traffic without a GPS system or the possibility of contact between an air tower and an aircraft, which is currently possible thanks to a dense network of satellites. Intercontinental travel is everyday life, but the possibility of traveling into space is currently being developed, so the exhibition participants should get to know the ways of making such journeys, what is an international space station and whether it is possible to reach the ends of the Solar System. The aim of the exhibition should be to acquaint visitors with the development of those elements of space technology that are particularly close to their hearts, especially satellite TV and mobile telephony. The great interest that can be aroused by the approximation of the operation of various "cosmic" devices should translate into a deepening of the knowledge of the sciences. The exhibits should combine the affordability of a real, tangible model with the attractiveness of computer simulations and animations supported by VR.5) "Materials and Nanotechnology" technology. - The exhibition will present issues related to the classification and use of various materials that surround us. It will be an interface between different scientific and technological fields in the understanding of materials and nanotechnology. The exhibition aims to present the differences between different types of materials such as metals, ceramics and polymer materials (basic division), and composites. The exhibition presentation will not lack wood as an example of composite material or materials that occur in the human body. The exhibits will inform the user which basic properties of materials determine their use in a specific industry. The division of materials according to the type of bond, properties it presents or manufacturing method will be preceded by basic information on physics and chemistry related to this field of knowledge. The exhibition, in continuation of the part concerning various materials, will touch upon the subject of nanotechnology and its dynamic development. The exhibition was divided into two thematic zones.1) "Little Man and Nature". - a zone designed for the youngest group of customers. The zone will contain exhibits that are very simple to use, intuitive, but at the same time arousing curiosity. The aim of the exhibition is to awaken all the senses of the participants. The exhibits are intended to give children opportunities that other toys will not give them. The exhibition will concern the natural world, it will cover the world of animals and plants and the natural environment. The experiments will concern the phenomena and elements occurring on the Earth.2) "Little man and technology". The exhibition will focus on the world of technology, including various inventions and their applications. The aim of the exhibition is to inspire the participants that the world of technology and electronics can be exceptionally simple and understandable. Mobile exhibition - a collection of exhibits built in the so-called box technology. It allows for any but safe transport of the designed equipment to any place. As in the case of stationary exhibits, these are interactive elements, but they allow for quick assembly and disassembly of the stand. The exhibition will present simple mechanisms, showing basic laws of physics, connected with historical achievements and the development of technology. At the exhibition, visitors will learn about the basic issues related to mechanics, including movement in particular, observe the effects of collisions and the transfer of mechanical energy. The exhibition will also present issues related to electricity and current flow, as well as technical progress related to it. In addition, the exhibition will be supplemented by a part related to nature in which the exhibits will show the biodiversity of species, and visitors will learn about their characteristics and dependencies, learning how important it is to preserve diversity on earth. This part of the exhibition will emphasize the aspect of protecting the natural environment and species from harmful human activity, referring to the issues related to renewable energy.
