HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH (hereinafter HOWOGE) is a municipal housing company in Berlin with a current portfolio of around 65,000 residential and commercial units. HOWOGE intends to significantly expand its portfolio by 2030. HOWOGE currently employs more than 800 people. HOWOGE's digitalization strategy includes the introduction of SAP BW/4 HANA as an enterprise data warehouse. This is the subject of this award procedure.
Commissioning of a service provider in the area of provision and operation of the SAP Data Warehouse application package SAP BW/4 HANA as well as the connection of data sources to this system. The services include infrastructure services, such as hosting in the service provider's data center, as well as the initial connection of first data sources and the subsequent operation of the SAP BW/4 HANA application. The tendered services as infrastructure and application service provider are to be provided in coordination with the internal HOWOGE IT (supported by a full IT infrastructure service provider). In addition, cooperation with the SAP-S/4 HANA infrastructure and application service provider for the ERP system (as well as other IT service providers, if necessary) must be ensured, as the SAP-S/4 HANA ERP system will be the main source system for future reporting. The hosting as well as the operation of the SAP S/4 HANA infrastructure/application are not part of the present award procedure. The tendered services of provision, hosting as well as initial connection of data sources and operation of SAP BW/4 HANA (i.e. relevant infrastructure and application services) refer exclusively to SAP BW/4 HANA. HOWOGE reserves the right to review the described service contents and scopes during the term of the contract and to redefine the allocation of services in the SAP environment if necessary. Conceivable constellations are, for example, an unchanged continuation of the service provider setting in the status quo of this award procedure, an award of all hosting and application services to one of the already bound service providers or to a new service provider who hosts and, if necessary, operates the entire SAP infrastructure. A service portfolio of the service provider beyond SAP applications is desirable from HOWOGE's point of view but not part of this award procedure.
