Description

Accommodation-related migration social work supports people in the context of migration, flight and asylum in the central areas of integration, above all material security, language, social contacts and leisure, work/education, health, values/standards, everyday skills, housing, crisis management and dealing with special personal circumstances. The main focus is on systematically familiarising the migrants with basic rights and duties, competencies for good neighbourly coexistence and for their professional and social participation (German/integration courses, job search, internships, etc.) The task of social support through migration social work is to coordinate, steer and accompany the integration process of refugees. The accommodation-related migration social work should make a qualitative contribution to enabling immigrants to act independently in all matters of daily life (process of independence). The range of tasks of accommodation-related migration social work is described in Annex 4 of the implementing regulation for the state reception law.This is a counselling and support service for asylum seekers and tolerated persons receiving benefits according to the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act who currently live in flats rented by themselves and in temporary flats in the Oder-Spree district. The additional support of persons who receive benefits outside the Asylum Seeker Benefits Act is carried out in agreement with the client: In the event that the legislator decides to discontinue migration social work for persons entitled to regular benefits according to the Social Code Book II from 1.7.2020, the service provided by the contractor also includes the care of migrants who receive SGB II services and:- live in flats rented by themselves and who have not lived in Germany for more than 3 years as of 1 January of the respective year, or- live in temporary flats rented by the district (optional contract extension) The service is to be provided primarily in the living quarters in which the persons to be cared for live. In addition, central offices are to be set up in Beeskow and Storkow, which the migrants can visit during regular consultation hours, and the contractor undertakes to carry out their tasks on working days from Monday to Friday. It ensures the staffing and demand-oriented accessibility of the social office in accordance with the core working hours of the Office for Foreigners' Affairs and Integration of the Oder-Spree District Administration. The contractor guarantees a demand-oriented accessibility for the clientele to be attended to.
