Description
The Marine Engineering Division (MED) of the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine (DAFM) require the services of a Marine Civil Engineering Consultancy to deliver the Small Craft Harbour Phase 3 at Ros an Mhíl Fishery Harbour Centre. The objective of the project is to provide a 77No berth small craft harbour (SCH): 63No standard berths and 14No heavy-duty berths, as current facilities are at capacity. The SCH will be constructed of floating pontoon units that will rise and fall with the tidal cycle. Access to the pontoons will be via an aluminium gangway and will be hinged at the landside connection and have a roller system at its base. The pontoons will be restrained in position using tubular steel piles that will be driven into the seabed to bed rock. Project to include associated services, access road, car park and rock revetment.
