Description
The Erftverband - called AG - currently operates a total of 37 sewage treatment plants. The sewage sludge to be disposed of is fed in dewatered form to thermal disposal by co-incineration in nearby lignite-fired power plants. For this purpose, the sewage sludge has to be transported from the sewage treatment plant sites to the respective disposal plant by means of LK. The Erftverband intends to award this transport service to a suitable specialist company - called the Contractor - after conducting an EU-wide tendering procedure.
