Description

Dewatering and disposal of the sewage sludge 2021 of the sewage treatment plant Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Creglinger Str. 1 a, 91541 Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
For reasons of disposal safety, the sewage sludge from the sewage treatment plant may only be fed into thermal recycling. Other recycling methods are excluded. The annual volume of fully stabilised sewage sludge from the sewage treatment plant amounts to a total of approx. 6,000 m3 of wet sludge, which is subject to a fluctuation range of 3.5 % to 5 % in relation to the TR content. The quantities stated are estimates, actual quantities may vary slightly. The dewatering of the sewage sludge has to be carried out with a chamber or membrane filter press to at least 25 % TR in relation to the filter cake for reasons of energy saving and better filtrate water quality. The dewatering/recycling must be carried out on 2 batches per year, since only a limited storage volume of approx. 3 000 m3 wet sludge is available.
