Description

Project Title: Shower Room Redevelopment - Lambton Service Point
Public body: CIUSSS de l'Estrie - CHUS
Project Facility: Lambton Service Point located at 310 Principale Street, Lambton, Quebec G0M 1H0
Description of work: Provide a shower room adapted for the clientele, install a toilet, sink and shower adapted to receive a Carendo chair and a civil shower, install a drain, ceramic wall and finished Stonehard floor as well as adequate heating and ventilation.
Work completion time: 12 weeks
The Project Manager, CIUSSS de l'Estrie - CHUS, having its head office at 375 Argyll Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1J 3H5, is requesting bids for the construction of the project in title.
Interested parties can obtain the tender documents through the electronic tendering system SÉAO (www.seao.ca or for the Montréal area at 514-856-6600 or toll-free outside at 1-866-669-7326).

BIDS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A BID SECURITY UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
In an amount equivalent to a percentage of the bid price and in the form determined below:

A bid bond issued by a financial institution in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price, valid for a period of forty-five (45) days from the bid opening date; or
A certified cheque or bank draft made payable to the Project Manager in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price; or
An irrevocable letter of guarantee issued by a bank, savings or credit union or trust or savings company and in accordance with the provisions of the Project Manager's "Irrevocable Letter of Guarantee" form in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price.

Note that if the bid security is provided in the form of a bond or irrevocable letter of guarantee, the form must be the one transmitted by the public body or contain the same provisions and be signed by the authorized person.

Only contractors with a business office in Quebec or in a province or territory covered by the Agreement on Trade and Cooperation between Quebec and Ontario (ACCQO), the Agreement on the Liberalization of Government Procurement of Quebec and New Brunswick (AQNB) and holding the required licence under the Building Act are eligible to bid.
A contractor holding a restricted licence issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec or registered in the register of companies not eligible for public contracts (RENA) and whose period of ineligibility for public contracts has not ended, is not eligible to submit a bid; these two cases of ineligibility are also applicable to the bidder's subcontractors.
Bidders are responsible for selecting subcontractors, both for their creditworthiness and the content of their bids; and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licences.

Information visit:
During the bidding period, the Project Manager will organize an information visit to the Lambton Point of Service: 310 Principale Street, Lambton, Quebec G0Y 1L0, meeting point: main entrance, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
During these visits, representatives of the Project Manager will answer questions from bidders. All bidders, contractors and subcontractors will be considered to have visited the site and no claims for lack of knowledge of the site may be submitted or accepted.

The Project Manager does not undertake to accept either the lowest or any of the bids received.
