Description

In the course of a redevelopment of the town centre of Ascheberg in the 1970s, the public spaces in the town centre were given a new look by modern building facades. The church square and the Katharinenplatz (former town hall square) were restructured. In spite of the massive demolition and new construction policy, there are still a few buildings, some of which are listed buildings, next to the parish church, and the public spaces in the centre of the village today form an "outdated" image without spatial context. Motorised traffic impairs the quality of stay due to the barrier effect of the sand road and the numerous parking spaces in the retail area at the fire station and on the Lambertus church square. The task is to find functional and design solutions for the public spaces in the area between Sandstraße and the fire station, Sandstraße, Katharinenplatz and Lambertus-Kirchplatz, which will give the centre of Ascheberg a high functional and design quality with recognition value, quality of stay and safe foot and cycle path connections. In the area between Sandstraße and the fire equipment store: In the area between Sandstraße and the fire equipment store there will be extensive restructuring. The plan is to demolish the fire equipment store and the centrally located retail building (fashion discounter) and construct a new building for a full-range retailer. This will create new path relationships and spaces, where the compatibility of the above-mentioned concerns is of particular importance.Sandstraße:It is pointed out that for the Sandstraße area a traffic concept from 2019 as well as numerous statements on the traffic situation in this area from different actors are available.in the area of Brunnenplatz (Florianbrunnen), areas for outdoor gastronomy are also to be taken into account in the reorganisation of functions. Katharinenplatz: The - felt - somewhat remotely located place for the weekly market is free of parking spaces. Ideas for a higher quality design and interesting uses are sought. It is indicated that the weekly market is currently held here. A location for the weekly market must be planned within the competitive setting.Lambertus-Kirchplatz:The church building is located in the middle of Lambertus-Kirchplatz, so that several subspaces have been created. A forecourt in the west forms the transition to the sand road. Along the longitudinal facades of the church there are access paths and a larger square is also attached to the east. Within the framework of a negotiated procedure, the municipality of Ascheberg is looking for a planning office as a partner with whom the redesign of the public spaces in the town centre can be implemented step by step in the following years.2.2020 Deadline for application period17.2.2020 Selection deadline, dispatch of tender documents25.2.2020 Binding confirmation of participation Offices9.3.2020 Deadline for enquiries18.3.2020 Answering enquiries13.5.2020 Submission of the planning concept and the fee offer4.6.2020 Presentation and negotiations
