Description

The city of Senftenberg intends to construct a school extension on the premises of the Regenbogen-Grundschule in Johannes-R.-Becher-Straße 19 in Senftenberg, which currently includes a school building, a sports hall and a spacious outdoor facility with a schoolyard, grass sports field, running track, an all-weather streetball court and parking spaces. The existing school building is a four-storey school building with a flat roof, which was built in 1974. The building with a gross floor area of approx. 3,986 m2 is a solid construction, which was built according to the rules valid at that time. The geometry and room layout of the building corresponds to the "Cottbus" school type, and the schoolyard and car parking spaces were redesigned in 2019. The property is accessible via the north-eastern access road from Johannes-R.-Becher-Straße. The property is developed with the media drinking water, electrical energy and district heating. Domestic sewage is discharged into the sewage system and rainwater into the municipal rainwater network. A central district heating line crosses the property in the northeastern area of the property. This cannot be built over with buildings or must be relocated in the event of development. 386 pupils are currently taught in the existing three-room primary school. With the planned extension, the school site is to be developed into a four-deck primary school for 540 pupils. A gross floor area of approx. 2,400 m2 has been calculated for the extension of the school and after-school care centre, taking into account various double uses. The requirements at the location are to be considered in the context of the existing and the extension building and presented in a space programme. With the new building to be erected and the intermediate building, which is to connect both school buildings, the requirements of accessibility in the old building are also to be examined. All construction measures will take place in the old building when the school is in full operation. In this respect, safety measures, provisional arrangements and substitute accommodation areas must be taken into account in the planning. The new building is to be constructed in modular design for a period of use of more than 5 years. Depending on the location of the new building, the outdoor facilities in this area are to be redesigned or integrated into the existing building. Total construction costs: gross 11 500 000.00 EUR (KG 200 to 700). The financing of the construction measure is carried out from the town of Senftenberg's own resources.
