Structural design reconstruction of the district sports facility Garath HOAI work phases 1-6The district sports facility Koblenzer Straße 133 in the city district 10, district Garath, consists of a natural grass main playing field with a surrounding racing track with 6 lanes and 2 long jump pits with the corresponding approaches. This main competition course is surrounded by spectator facilities with a capacity of 7,846 visitors*. As a place of assembly, the facility is therefore subject to the requirements of the special building regulations. Furthermore, there is a large playing field with an artificial turf surface and a large playing field with an artificial turf surface. In addition, the facility is equipped with 2 small plastic playing fields and 2 gymnastics meadows, a total of 6 cabins with sanitary facilities, rooms for the local football club Garather SV and outdoor toilets complete the facility, as well as a parking lot for about 40 vehicles. The formerly existing athletic ancillary area has been developed with a triple sports hall as part of the expansion of the school location Koblenzer Straße/Theodor-Litt-Straße. In order to make optimum use of the facilities and to increase the range of popular sports on the district sports grounds, a cooperation between the clubs "Garather Sportverein 1966 e. V." and "American Football Club Düsseldorf 1978 e. V. Düsseldorf Panther" (AFC) is planned. A development paper jointly submitted by the two clubs, which describes the need for four large pitches, was the impetus for the redesign of the facility: Garather SV and AFC will each have one large artificial turf pitch and one large natural grass pitch in the future. The gross size of this field shall be large enough to accommodate both American football and a football marker. The existing facilities at the location will be optimised with the construction of new cabins, sanitary facilities and ancillary rooms for the members of the Düsseldorf Panther club.a further large artificial turf pitch as a training area for American football will round off the range of sports facilities, while small pitches and equipment-related exercise facilities (fitness island) will supplement the range of popular sports.grandstand facilities for 2,000 spectators* and additional areas on which mobile grandstands or similar can be set up will optimise the facility for events of both clubs. Qualified inlets, a second escape route and adapted parking facilities complete these considerations. The design of the facility should allow simultaneous but undisturbed use by both clubs. According to the current schedule, the implementation and financing decision should be presented by late summer 2020. The services to be awarded in this procedure comprise basic services of the work phases 1-6 in the performance profiles of the structural design according to HOAI.
