Description

The city of Werneuchen is planning the construction of a new four-grade primary school. The main reason for the construction project is the fact that the existing primary school, which also includes the after-school care centre, is no longer able to accommodate the expected future number of pupils, mainly due to double use of premises. The existing school building is already heavily used and offers no capacity reserves: The school area and the school building are part of the former site of the Werneuchen Fighter Aviation School (training ground of the German Air Force from 1935/1937). In the course of a preliminary feasibility study, the city, the Brandenburg State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments, other parties involved and the school as future users, the possibilities and general conditions for a supplementary building were determined. The next step was an architectural competition, the first prize was won by the design of the Numrich Albrecht Klumpp GvA office.the planning team is now to be put together.construction costs (cost groups 300 and 400) of EUR 13 700 000 net are planned for the new primary school "Im Rosengarten". Construction is scheduled to start in 2020.
