Description

The present call for tenders concerns the structural design of work phases 4 - 6 for the projects New Medical Research Centre (MedForCe) and New Body & Brain Institute Münster (BBIM). the MedForCe project is intended to bring together the previously spatially distributed institutes for microbiology, virology and hygiene in the northern area of the Albert Schweitzer campus at one location and to realise further research areas in order to create an efficient and efficient structural infrastructure. MedForCe is an ultra-modern laboratory building of particular importance for the future development of Münster as a science location. MedForCe is to be built on the Domagkstraße/ Coesfelder Kreuz/ Rishon-Le-Zion-Ring site with an expected usable area of 12,650 m². the building complex will house the institutes for medical microbiology, clinical virology and hygiene, an experimental animal husbandry facility for microbiology/virology, an experimental animal husbandry facility under quarantine, and research areas. For the institutes mentioned above, teaching areas, laboratory areas with protection levels 1 and 2 according to the Ordinance on Biological Substances and a laboratory area with safety level 3 according to the Ordinance on Biological Substances as well as a laboratory area according to the Ordinance on Genetic Engineering Safety are available. The experimental animal housing areas of the Central Animal Experimental Facility ("ZTE") are to be mapped with specific or specified pathogen-free quality ("SPF quality") as an independent area with technical and structural boundaries to the areas of the Institute for Microbiology, Clinical Virology and Hygiene, which fall back on common functions such as, for example, a scullery, hazardous substance storage facilities.The usable areas are divided into 2 main categories:1) Research and operating areas NF 1-6 approx. 5,800 m²;2) Available research areas NF 1-6 approx. 6,850 m²The BBIM is an independent building, which is often networked with MedForCe. The inner structure with largely identical laboratory clusters as well as the inner and outer appearance of both projects should not differ. Both buildings have a separate access to Domagkstraße and an independent vertical access, but a common logistics in the basement, standard office and laboratory space, a GMP facility, a drchflusszytometrische Einheit and an RNA sequencing laboratory are planned in the BBIM. Primarily laboratory areas of protection level 1 and 2 according to BioStoffV and GentSV are planned. The planned tasks currently allow a usable area of approx. 3,850 m² to be expected.
