Description

The task of the programme executing agency is the technical and administrative programme management of the "Berlin Programme for Sustainable Development II (BENE II)" including the acquisition of projects, their content-related supervision and the support in the public presentation of the funding programme.
With the Berlin Programme for Sustainable Development II (BENE II), the Senate Department for Environment, Transport and Climate Protection (SenUVK) intends to contribute to a reduction of CO2 emissions for the adaptation to climate change and to the improvement of Berlin's green infrastructure. The funding programme will be implemented within the framework of the ERDF structural funding (European Regional Development Fund-EFRE) 2021 - 2027. The projects are scheduled to be completed by 2029. It is intended to commission an external programme executing agency to implement the programme. The total volume of the programme will comprise around EUR 525 million in eligible expenditure, which must be settled with the EU Commission in fixed annual instalments. The ERDF co-financing amounts to around EUR 210 million. Based on previous experience, around 300 projects must be successfully implemented in order to ensure the programme's success.The task of the programme executing agency is to acquire projects, supervise their content, manage the technical and administrative aspects of the programme and support the public presentation of the funding programme.The programme executing agency will not be loaned.A maximum gross budget of €21.21 million has been earmarked for assuming responsibility for the programme in the period 2022 - 2029.The task is divided into the following work packages:- Work package 1: Establishment of suitable programme structures- Work package 2: Definition and documentation of processes- Work package 3: Public relations and project acquisition- Work package 4: Preparation and implementation of competition procedures- Work package 5: Early preparation and approval of the first large-volume projects in the first programme year- Work package 6: Project preparation, approval and project support; review of proof of use- Work package 7: Programme support - Monitoring
