The BMWi Market Development Programme is designed to facilitate the entry of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), self-employed persons in the commercial sector, as well as specialist liberal professions and business-related service providers with business operations in Germany into new markets and to lead to further successes in export activities.Business initiation trips are business trips to a specific target country in a specific sector (e.g. optics in France/waste management in Poland). The central element is a presentation event at which German companies are given the opportunity to present their technologies and services to a foreign audience of experts. Specialist speakers from Germany and the target market provide information on relevant aspects of the respective industry. In addition, there will be a get-together event. Prior to the trip, target market analyses with comprehensive information about the industry and market are prepared, which are made available to the participants and also published. The core of the four to five-day business initiation trip is individually arranged meetings with potential cooperation partners and customers, which take place after the presentation event. For the implementation of the project, the requirements according to Annex 1_ABD and the guidelines apply.
