The BMWi market development programme is designed to make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), self-employed persons in the commercial sector and specialist liberal professions and business-related service providers with business operations in Germany to enter new markets and to achieve further success in their export activities.Digital business initiation events are digital events on a specific target country and a specific sector (e.g. optics in France/waste management in Poland). Within the framework of a specialist digital presentation event, interested local companies, administrations, associations and institutions receive concrete information about the capabilities of the respective industry in Germany. The German companies have the opportunity to present their products, services and possible fields of cooperation to a foreign audience of experts in a short presentation that focuses on the essentials. The presentation event should offer space for digital contact discussions between German and foreign participants as well as other appealing elements. The central element of the digital business initiation are the individually prepared contact discussions of the German companies for a targeted business initiation to potential business partners of the target country. Prior to the event, target market analyses are prepared with comprehensive information about the industry and market, which are made available to the participants and also published. For the implementation of the project, the requirements according to Annex 1_ABD and the guidelines apply.
