Description
The aim of the procurement is to modernize and expand the central virtualization infrastructure of the Technical University of Dortmund. The virtual enterprise server infrastructure contains many tu-wide business-critical applications such as SAP ERP, HIS, IDM/IAM or Exchange, but also virtual servers for the faculties and institutes. The new servers will replace the now obsolete and no longer maintainable blade servers. This increases capacity and enables the implementation of newer technologies to deliver not only more, but also more powerful, stable and resilient virtual servers and IT services. Furthermore, the new servers will support the video streaming project through the powerful graphics accelerators.
