Description
The Ministry of Education (Ministry) wishes to develop a dynamic and proactive risk culture where both opportunities and threats are acknowledged, discussed, shared and managed. We are transitioning towards embracing risk and using risk insights to better inform the activity being undertaken. We are seeking to improve our risk capability and become a risk intelligent organisation that better enables us to achieve our objectives and helps deliver successful outcomes
Currently, the Ministry has robust risk processes and artefacts and risk is undertaken across the organisation. Risk management occurs as part of our business groups, critical functions (including Health & Safety and ICT Cyber Security/Safety), capital projects, and contracted service providers. Risk is also an integral part of our investment strategy.
We are now seeking to use specialist risk software as part of developing a ‘designed-for-Ministry risk system’. The software will be an integral component part enabling improved risk consistency, gaining critical insights for business decision-making, providing clearer lines of sight and to enable a step-change in Ministry risk management practice maturity.
