Description

With the 14-month research project "Research project on the reception of the framework curricula of the expert commission according to § 53 PflBG", information must be made available for the review and updating of the framework curricula on the part of the expert commission. For this purpose, three sub-studies must be carried out, namely- a qualitative survey of teachers and colleagues responsible for curriculum development at nursing schools with regard to the reception of the framework curricula,- a survey of practical instructors, those responsible for the development of institution-specific training plans and other persons involved in the reorganisation of practical nursing training with regard to the reception of the framework training plans, and- a criteria-based content-analytical document analysis of selected school curricula and institution-specific training plans.A qualitative research design must be developed for all sub-studies (cf. terms of reference).
The aim of the project is to interview managers and teachers at nursing schools, as well as those responsible for practical training and practical instructors, with regard to the formulation and the transformation and selection process that has taken place. Furthermore, selected internal school curricula and institution-specific training plans are to be analysed with regard to the principles on which they are based and the references to country-specific framework guidelines as well as to the framework plans of the Expert Commission.1 How does the transfer of the framework curricula into an internal school curriculum succeed in the nursing schools?2 How does the transfer of the framework training plans into the training plans in practical training succeed?3 How does the transfer of the framework training plans into the training plans in practical training succeed in the nursing schools?How are the design principles of the framework curricula reflected in the school's own curricula and in the training plans for practical training?The answers to these questions must contribute to the review of the framework curricula by the expert commission, provide information on their manageability and comprehensibility, identify inhibiting factors in the use of the framework curricula and show necessary support services in the use of the framework curricula.
