The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board is the third largest English school board in Quebec. Its territory extends over three administrative regions and has an area of more than 35,000 square kilometres. More than 14,000 students attend its 26 primary schools, 9 secondary schools and 4 adult education and vocational training centres. It also manages a nature centre.

In order to comply with the requirements of the Act respecting contracts for construction work, the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION must proceed by means of a call for tenders in accordance with the procedure established by the Regulation respecting contracts for construction work by public bodies.

The PUBLIC ORGANIZATION wishes to issue a call for tenders for the rehabilitation of the sanitary blocks at Laval Senior Academy High School, related to Project No. 19-190-01
The work covered by this contract includes:
The complete execution of all work related to the redevelopment of sanitary blocks B107, B109, C202A, C202B, B211, B221, B311 and B32 including the replacement of interior finishing, ceiling and lighting, doors, sanitary appliances and other related work at Laval Senior Academy High School, located at 3200, boul. du Souvenir Ouest, Laval, as shown on plans and described in professional specifications (mechanical, electrical, architectural). The contractor must also refer to the architectural and engineering plans, as well as the asbestos reports attached to the bid documents. Also included within the scope of work are all temporary protection and development work, as indicated in the plans and required in the spirit of the project, to meet the safety and evacuation requirements of the site (occupied premises) during construction, site clean-up, rework, and other work necessary for the complete completion of the work. All jointing, repair and drilling work required to complete the work herein is included.

This Invitation to Tender does not include any additional options for the work or services described in the attached documentation. All additional details regarding the options that may apply in this public tender can be found in Document 3 - Contract in section 15.00 Duration .

A non-compulsory site visit is scheduled for 04 September 2019 at 14:20. The meeting point for this visit is 3200 du Souvenir Boulevard West, in the city of Laval, province of Quebec, H7T 1W9
(meeting point in the lobby of the main entrance).

Tender security
4.01.01 Incorporation
The BUYER must include a bid security equivalent to TEN PERCENT (10%) of the price proposed in his Bid. This bid security must be submitted in one of the following forms:
a) a bond issued in favour of the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION by a Financial Institution as defined in clause 0.01.12 hereof, which must comply with the provisions of the model bid bond reproduced in Appendix 4.01A of the Bid Form;

(b) a certified cheque, money order or bank draft made payable to the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION;

c) an irrevocable letter of guarantee issued in favour of the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION by a Financial Institution as defined in clause 0.01.12 hereof, which must comply with the requirements of the model "Letter of Guarantee
